TRIM REAPER RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE

‘MODEST SALARY’

Drawing influences from Suicide, Holy Fuck, Battles and Protomartyr, noise rock group Trim Reaper release their debut single, Modest Salary.

The first single is a tip of the hat to DFA Records and British post punk, the band explains,

“It’s a tongue in cheek vent at the inescapable reality of living in a time where the answer to ‘surely things can’t get worse, right?’ is one of the few things that remains consistently positive’”.

Trim Reaper started with a shared obsession for unconventional music equipment and a mutual respect for tape machines, distortion and craft beer.

The band consists of Matthew Somers (I Heart Hiroshima / Total Pace) and Michael Hardy (composer/producer + multi instrumentalist) who wrote, produced and mixed the track from their studio in Brisbane, Australia.

Modest Salary is the first taste of the duo’s first album, set to be released mid-2023 through Valve Records.
